Awesome Employers

This is for all the Awesome Employers! We're comfortable offering this as a fact: Terminating employees is one of the most unpleasant tasks employers ever face, and most have had an ample supply of that "unpleasant task" during this current economic situation.

Fortunately, a number of employers have engaged outplacement services for their terminated employees and they are to be commended as "Awesome Employers!" This group of employers provided transition support for their departing employees and both employers and (former) employees are reaping the benefits! Here is a quick update:

  • Employers are spending less post-termination time dealing with former employee issues, especially in multiple-employee terminations. Our Outplacement Consultant, Elizabeth Muellner, broadcasts pertinent information from the employer to the group of former employees and answers general questions normally directed at the former employer.

  • We are filling your employees' needs for reassurance and results-oriented technical job search information. The employees are implementing the information you sponsored and are getting jobs-good jobs. In May 2009, 28 candidates from our outplacement group found good jobs. One of our candidates even doubled their former salary!

  • Major companies also contact us seeking contract employees because they know Career Transitions has an excellent candidate pool in our outplacement group.

  • Our statistics from 3 major companies supplying outplacement services currently show 100% of their terminated employees signed their severance agreements. The "forward focus" outplacement provides gives the former employee a reason to let go of their attachment to their former employer.

  • Candidates involved in our outplacement program heal and move on quickly and more completely.
